Check the door ajar switch which is located on the pillar post.

My daughter drives a 2000 mustang convertible ,when the drivers side power window is rolled down , at about thee quarters of the way down the door opens, how do i fix this issue ,I have had the door apart...

it has to be catching on something within the door in order for it to open. without being there, not much i can do. sorry

poss ur window is off track or needs to be lubed in the tracks take off door panel and see if window is off track

You'll need to remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. Then pull back the weather seal (can't reuse it, but it's not that important) and you will be able to access everything. It's most likely the arm is broken or the gears have slipped
