Rear driver electric window does not work - 2004 Ford Explorer

If the master switch will open and close the windows and the rear switches open them, won't close them, replace both rear switches.

It could be the fuse. The fuses should be located under the dash near the left of the driver.
If your car has the safety switch by the driver, to keep the kids in the rear seat from opening the windows, it could be off or not working.

The electric window could either be the fuse,switch, or window regulator motor at fault..Sometimes the window motor electric plug can vibrate loose or become loose from door slamming..Also the switch can become loose as well or contamination if you are lucky..You will have to remove door panel to inspect these components..and fuse panel..The light could be a faulty bulb..Check and replace bulb..before involving the signal indicator switch lever...If bulb is at fault go ahead and change bulbs at both rear sides..Do not try to repair signal switch because of air bag..If you can hold down on the turn signal switch and it works the switch is at fault...

Plus there is electronic control modules and class 2 serial data network involved . When you push the switch for a window othen then drivers window on the drivers door . a class 2 message is sent to the other doors modules . The correct module will then open it's window .

Both rear windows at once? May be the master switch in the drivers door. If there is a problem with the drivers switch then even using the switches in the individual doors will not work.

well you can try "jumping" the correct wire to see if window got up or down... this will tell u if switch is bad... but I would just go but a new master switch... try that before you cause more damage..

I doubt there is a common cause. The rear HVAC needs to be diagnosed by a HVAC technician. The electric windows problem is probably a bad motor in the door. Do the rear windows work from the driver's controls? If they do, then it is the window switch that is faulty.

try seeing if u got power to the switches by pulling switches up and check with test light if u have power then window motor is out

You need to replace the window regulator assembly.
The cables that run the glass up and down have broken inside the regulator.
