this is always a pain but here is the way I try 1st, drop the release handle down and cut back the sheath (cable cover) over the inner wire cable, expose the cable and then get a good pair of vise grip type locking pliers and have some one push down on the hood over the latch area (this removes some of the tension on the latch release) while you pull the stub end of the cable, if this doesn't work then you can try going under the truck to latch, but on this model that would be very difficult.

- lets be positive this works alamost always, but the next step is to remove the driver side wheel well liner and access the latch through there, you really need to have the car up on a rack to do this.
