If is ticking when you swich the ignition it is mean that your starter motor is gone, if not the lights on dash are on it can be the chip in your remote central locking, if lights of the batery has to be changed.

You do not have the air bled out or the slave is also defective, suggest you replace the slave then try again using a vacuum clutch bleeding tool like the one make by a company called MITYVAC

Snap! The gearbox on my 2000 Alhambra just gave up today too!. I can only get 3rd & 4th gears. It's done 102,000 miles. I'll keep looking for advice, and post another bulleting here if I find anything out.
