In order to solve your problem one would need to scan the car with a diagnostic scanner, available to rent or for a free scan at many auto parts dealers, get a code from them and I can tell you your problem, or at least the problem that is setting your check engine light off

the car was telling you that there is something wrong in it so easy way to get it started rent a scanner and by then you have a idea what causing your complain aite goodluck
