How do i take transmission out of a 93 honda accord lx 2.2

1. I'm not certain that you should: I had a transmission linkage problem, and I took my '93 Accord to a transmission place (Cottman's). In the end, those skilled pros really couldn't do anything--they directed me to a Honda dealer, instead! (I was very puzzled!: They couldn't even get to first base.)

2. You see, virtually everything concerning Honda automatic transmissions is proprietary--down to the fluid! You wish to put a junkyard trans in your ancient Honda?: Good luck! It may prove an uphill battle--very difficult.

3. So, you have a clever jack which lifts small transmissions?: You need help--someone who works/worked for Honda, or knows Hondas very well. Info online proves scarce:

4. You may obtain a relevant Honda repair manual from a Honda dealer--you should start with that--given that you're still brave enough for DIY...Hayne's and Chilton's offer no help--it's way beyond their scope....

5. It may be the linkage--not the trans--hope it's the linkage!

.6. Sorry!

My automatic transmission is slipping once the car gets warm in my 1986 honda accord LX-i

Once a transmission slips-- it is done

Time for a rebuild

THERE IS NO OTHER SOLUTION

It slips,it has done that for awhile, that is an
internally worn out trans

1986-- I would get rid of it

You never install a used trans & $2,500 for a reman
or rebuild, makes no sense.

The whine is a worn out pump or stuck pump valves

I have a 93 Honda Accord LX, the reverse light will not work. I have changed the fuse and bulbs without any luck. They haven't worked in years.

I wouldn't change any fuse or bulbs in my entire lifetime

I would remove them & test them & put them back

Then I would go look for the back up light switch

I have no idea where it is,but I would bet a dealer would
tell you or a trans shop & do so free of charge

Then you look around the shifter or on the trans & fix the problem

1997 accord lx hard shifting, what can i do?

If it's automatic, drain the trans fluid and clean the magnetic drain bolt. Remove and clean the screens on the two solenoids on the front of the transmission. Honda does NOT recommend flushing your transmission with any solvents. Refill to the correct level according to your owner's manual.

If it's a manual transmission, change your gear oil in the transmission according to your owner's manual and hope it's not your synchros.

Find transmission fluid stick

on the passenger side, down near the bottom of engine compartment, you'll see a small yellow loop handled dipstick. that's the trans dipstick. ok assuming its an automatic. manuals don't have dipstick, it has a fill plug on the side of transmission

Transmission filter

it is situated in side the transmission oil pan, it is not a job you could do yourself if you need to ask that question. you need a hoist and some knowledge of trans missions, it is not dear to have it done.

99 Honda Accord and Prelude Transmissions Interchangeability

the trans will actually bolt up to the engine..but it will not work properly without the pressure switch plugged in to the harness... if u notice, there is a hole with no threads in the prelude trans..u couldnt even thread a 3rd gear pressure switch in the trans case..trust me ive seen it b4 at the dealer where i work.. i even went as far as installing the trans and when going back together, saw the difference when trying to plug the harness in...its not the same..i laugh about it now, but was very mad at myself at the time for assumeing the parts guy brought me the right part..the guy with the prelude was about to install my accord  trans in his prelude ...luckily i was able to stop him b4 he installed my trans in his prelude...i laugh about it now

Is a 2.2 in a 91 the same in a 92?

Might need to swap over the computer as well if it indeed has one.

I see a few troubleshooting issues tho.
