2005 trailblazer, how do you remove the radio volume know

You must remove the radio and have it repaired by an authorized factory repair center.

disconnect the battery and wait for the clock to show the right time then re-connect the battery if you cannot find the knobs ,how about the trip meter knob and try turning it gently to the left or the right to adjust the time

Right below the volume knob, there are 2 little black buttons that are hard to see. The left button is for hours, the right for minutes.

There are 2 little black buttons under the volume knob for the stereo. The right one is for the hours, the left one for minutes. Very easy to miss, been there done that.

Look right underneath the stereo volume knob. There are actually 2 small black buttons under there, 1 for hours, the other for minutes.

this happened to me after 2 years of having my 2006 Mazda 3, luckily i was still within warranty. the entire LCD had to be replaced in mine

it is most likely the radio and in particular the volume control rheostat.

Tools required: Phillips screwdriver, small flatblade screwdriver, rachet with 6 inch extension & 10mm socket.
1. Remove negative battery terminal (for stray voltage & airbags.)
2. Remove gear shift trim
3. Remove cable attached to lighter socket.
4. Remove center climate control knob and screw beneath it.
5. Gently pry both bottom corners of climate control face (up then towards the rear) until clear of lock.
6. Pull entire climate control console rearward until clips release. Leave all wiring attached.
7. Remove 4 bolts under radio (10mm.)
8. Gently pry between dash and AC ducting panel (both sides) and pull out.
9. 4 clip hold radio to ducting panel, gently pry while pulling radio out the back.

first of all if you live in a cold climate I never turn the radio on until the car warms up if you can remove the knob on the radio spray a light amount of WD 40 and then put the knob back on and turn it back and forth and if you have pop on your hand or water also dry your hands off before touching the radio the lights and the radio will last a lot longer also and also before leaving the car always remember to turn the radio off it will be alot easier on your battery as well
