Some vehicles may use a "stretch to fit belt". There is no tensioner. There is a small tool that is used to install such a belt. The ones I looked at, around 12--15 bucks. Your local auto store may have one? I don't know if you can use it to remove belt, I've never used one. If you have no need for a used belt, just cut it off.

It's spring activated. Look for a pulley at the end of a lever. That's the tensioner pulley. Put a wrench/socket on it and move it away from the belt. Use caution, as I stated, it's spring loaded/activated. That's how it keeps constant pressure on the serpentine belt. Check under the hood for a routing diagram for re-installation. Or draw a quick sketch.

Surpentine belts have a automatic belt tensioner. You can identify it easily. It will have a wheel attached to an arm which goes to and is mounted to the front of the engine. This automatic tensioner moves. Look on the front portion of the wheel connection to the arm. Is there a square 1/2-inch cavity? A 1/2-inch ratchet or breaker bar or surpentine belt remover bar can be inserted. Pull or Push this rotating it Up or Down (DON'T FORCE IT) Move it only inthe Direction it will move.
The Belt Diagram should be located on the underside of the hood or on the covering near the radiator.
