Engine in or out? harder in.... you will not get all of them with the motor in and transmission connected, because there are freeze plugs behind the flywheel... get a freeze plug removal and replacement tool, drain engine coolant first...

1989 gmc 2500 305 engine back fire's on excelleration. Replaced Rotor and Cap. Also oxigen censer. Checked plugs, Wire's.

Backfire on acceleration could be caused by a worn lobe on the camshaft especially on a small block Chevy engine. You have to remove the valve covers and check the lift of each push rod. Sometimes it's quite obvious but sometimes it requires close inspection and even measuring the lift.

I have a 1987 gmc truck witha 305 tbi, stalling alot, especialy when put in gear, replaced many sensors, ecm, etc. gives me a high voltage map sensors code.

If you didn't replace the Throttle Position Sensor, check the adjustment on that. Also, pull the Idle Air Bleed Valve and clean it.

It would be the same size tire that you now have on the truck.
