Abs breaks keep coming on

ABS Braking System being activated for some reason

The service engine light does not affect the abs.You most likely have a broken wire in your abs system which is affected by suspension movement.A code reader which does abs codes will tell you which wheel circuit is turning on the abs light.When there is no abs available the track will turn off.

The ABS, ( anti-lock break system ) has a sensor on each wheel that can come lose after hitting dips and speed bumps. If you are mecahanical you may be able to fix it yourself, if not, any auto shop can fix it in just a couple of minutes.

I'm not real sure about the tc, ( traction control ) system, sorry.

Hello: Make sure the electrical connectors are corrosion free and on tight. Do this first. You may have to have the codes read again. You could have another bad w/b or sensor

Check the grounds under the cab on drivers side cab mount.. they are known to be a problem either corroding or breaking.

there is a ABS module or proportioning valve that could be a culprit. those do have an ABS diagnostics port that a good shop should be able to scan and tell u what is wrong.

The red brake light is the key here. That usually indicateds a hydraulic problem. Check you fluid level in master cylinder and see if it is low. Also the level indicator sensor there in the master cylinder maybe sticking or corrioded. If ABS sees the red brake light it will shut off and turn on the ABS light,also traction control would be disabled as well.

Your ABS Computer is likely failing. They have problems with the solder joints on the circuit board, causing a code to be set and the lights to come on. Very common on this vehicle!

hi when you say hits a bump which wheel is it that hits the bump or is it the ront end hits a bump or rear and what did the fault codes say and what makes you think its not the sensors yates210456
