Your best bet , take it to a qualified repair shop ,before you make more problems . All four cam sensors good bad at the same time , i don't think so !

Is the security light lit ? Car an pad lock symbol . If any of these are lit it is the anti-theft system . Does the engine crank over but won't start an run ? The anti-theft system will allow the engine to crank but not start , disables fuel injectors . If the anti-theft light is lit there are DTC'S diagnostic trouble codes stored in the theft deterrent module an or the ECM .
Does anything happen when you turn the key to the start position ?

2004 cadillac cts wont crank at all, i turn the key and try to start it but it doesn't crank or do anything just the dashboard light come on and the engine light flickers then it wont release the key

I had something similar happen on my 2004 CTS. The car would not crank, and I recall the security light was on the dash. The key could be turned off, but not quite far enough to be removed.
The key can be removed by sticking a small pin or screw driver in a hole under the steering column... maybe 2 inches from the actual steering wheel. I recall there is a small cover or plug in the hole that needs to be removed.
You can let it sit and occasionally try to start it. My did start once more.
I ended up having it towed to the GM dealer and they replaced the ECM for about $500? That took care of it for a couple years, until I recently sold it.

try replscing the key.

There is a magnetic switch on the 'park' position. The car only starts or releases the key in 'park' is enabled. Maybe this switch is not working! Try to replace it!

Had a new key cut for my 2007 cadiliac cts---- it starts the vehicle; however, the display says "Starting Disabled - Remove Key." what do i need to do to correct this problem?

take the chip out of the old key and then remove the shroud around steering column and tape the old key or the chip out of it to the transponder reader and make sure you destroy or remove the chip in the new key and then it should go ok

Hello, I also have a 2004 CTS and I suspect you may have a problem with the key you are using to start the car. The key is hard-coded to the car with a small electronic chip (resides inside the key). If this chip is damaged or not communicating with the car at the time its entered into the ignition, the car's security system assumes you are trying to steal the car with a bogus key. If you have a spare key, I recommend using that one or have the key replaced by the dealer.

the first thing is to make sure battery is good, if the computers in car dont have the right voltage the act crazy, they do things like the problem your having,the computer cant operate correctly with half or 3/4s power.start with battery and connection at battery. good luck,

The shank of any GM key hits a lever that locks the key in place when turned into any position other than the off position. If it stuch in off, the cylinder must be replaced

Try this
PASSKEY LOCKOUT RESET GM CARS 1999 UP
1) Put the key in the ignition and turn to the "ON" position. Leave it that way for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes turn the key and take it out. Repeat this process (2) more times (3 times, 30 minutes total) This should reset the passlock system to recognize your key.

the problem is most likely the receiver for the key transponder, the dealer can test this system with a special electronic test tool called tech 2 scanner, u can't replace the parts yourself because they require programming to your cars keys.

I am sure of this solution, sorry you are away from a dealer, but this is what you must do, these security systems do have there problems that is for sure.

I had same problem. Had to replace ECM and now car works fine.

i have the same problem i've change the ECM but that didn't fix the problem.. after a week the problem came back.. im going to try to use my spare key and see if that fixes the problem..
