SOURCE: 95 Pathfinder Fuel Pump

In the rear cargo area you pull the back plastic strip that runs around where your hatch latches and pull the carpet FROM the rear right to the front left of the cargo area until you see the round/square panel with 4 10mm bolts.  That is the cover that you remove to get to your pump without having to pull your gas tank.  be sure to label your fuel lines.

SOURCE: speedo not working on nissan pathfinder

check the speed sensor either at the transmission or on the front wheel axle. You have to remove the front wheel , rotor until you get down to the shaft. The speed sensor is right there on the passenger side of your car.

SOURCE: replacing fuel pump on an 05 nissan pathfinder

No special tools required. You first need to remove as much fuel as possible so the tank is not too heavy. Chock the wheels, put tranny in N, remove driveshaft making sure to mark both mating surfaces at rear diff so you put it back on exactly how it came off. Disconnect the filler hose at the tank. Next thing is to lower the tank about 4-5 inches so you can disconnect the electrical connector and hoses to the fuel pump at the top of the tank. I placed a floor jack with a 2' x 1' piece of plywood under the tank, removed the support straps, and lowered the tank enough so I could reach up and disconnect the electrical connector and fuel line hoses from the pump. Once I got everything unhooked I lowered the tank and slid it out from under the vehicle. Replacing the pump is far easier than getting the tank out. There is a locking ring you have to turn remove. Tap is with a wood block or brass punch so as to not cause any sparks. Once it is off, remove the pump and replace. If you are replacing the pump you should replace the fuel sending unit also since these things have a reputation for going bad at 60,000 miles. Installation is the reverse order.

If there's no fuel being delivered to the engine, you'd suspect the fuel pump.

If you're not sure what you're doing give a mobile mechanic a call. Those guys are usually quite good.

sounds electrical when a electrical component is warm high resistance is built. 1 item of concern will be a crank position sensor. The one I want you to look at is know as CKP sensor(REF) 120 Deg. Nissan has an article about this . Broken wires in the main harness are common. The break will be between the engine and right shock tower

Bleed all the air out of the injector pipes. The car won't run with air in the system.
