You need to loosen the nut on the actual motor and move the linkage round untill the correct park position then tighten and test.

A6 wipers

How do you know motor is fine, you jumped a wire across from battery to motor? if what you say is correct then it has to be the wiper control switch, if when u jump wire across and motor turns but not wipers the the attachment from motor to wiper assembly is stripped, disassemble and find if it's shaft or plate that's stripped happens when people don't clean windows off from snow ice and just turn wipers on.

Kia cerato intermittent wipers not working change wiper switch and wiper motor still same getting stuck half way

With motor removed, check linkage for binding. Also inspect for damaged or bent wiper actuator arms. Also check that pivots are securely mounted and not twisting the outer casting axially. Also make sure the motor is not 180 degrees out of position to the arms.

How to change front wiper motor on 1993 ford explorer

Hi there,
  • Turn the ignition on, and turn the front windshield wipers on. When the wipers are facing straight up on the window, turn the ignition off so they remain in that position.
  • Disconnect the negative battery cable with an adjustable wrench. Remove the passenger side wiper blade assembly, by removing the pivot nut at the bottom with an adjustable wrench. Remove the wiper linkage access cover, and use a screwdriver to remove the wiper motor clip. Remove the wiper linkage from the wiper motor.
  • Disconnect the electrical connector on the wiper motor. Remove the bolts and nuts, securing the wiper motor with a socket wrench. Remove the wiper motor from the vehicle. Install the new wiper motor, and tighten mounting bolts and nuts with a socket wrench. Connect the electrical harness to the new wiper motor. Connect the wiper linkage, and insert the linkage clip. Install the wiper blade assembly, and tighten the nut with an adjustable wrench.
  • Connect the negative battery cable securely, using an adjustable wrench.
Hope this helps...

1995 Protege - Wiper linkage problem Hi I hear wiper motor sound, but the wipers donot work. This happened when the wiper were switched ON to wipe-off the snow. The arms came half-way &...

sounds like you broke or pulled the linkage loose from the motor or striped the spline in which case you will probably need to replace the linkage. good luck

I have bmw 525. the wiper was working but suddenly its stopped. when i try the switch, its try to move but few cm.i have cheake the fuses, its ok. please hep me. thanks

I have had a similar problem. On mine it was a linkage arm/socket that kept popping out, stopped both the wipers working with one stuck half way across the screen and the other wiper upright against the side of the screen.
Cost £8 for a new one.
