Why does my headlight on my Harley Road King 2003 keep flashing or flickering

Sometimes, a headlight may start flickering due to physical damage to headlight components. The inside of the connector may start to melt, causing a poor connection. the bulbs or lamps of your headlights are old or damaged, it can cause the headlights to flicker. Fortunately, this can be a relatively quick fix.

When the alternator starts to give out, your car’s electrical output is affected. This could result in flickering, dimming, or inoperative headlights, as the headlights depend on power from the vehicle's battery. When the alternator is unable to charge the battery, the vehicle's electrical system will quickly drain the battery. One of the most common causes of headlight flickering is a dying battery. Your headlights rely on power from the battery to function properly. If the battery is failing, flickering, or dimming headlights may be the result. In this situation.

Headlight keeps flashing or flickering. Checked my battery cables and wiggled my wiring, looked for bare wires with no results. What else should I check?

If you would like some suggestions you need to add the make, model and year of the vehicle . Just one head light or both ? Inside light flicker at all ?

Turn on headlights and switch to high beams and all the dash lights and headlights go out. I replaced the multifunction switch and the headlight switch.

May I humbly suggest you not turn on the high beams again until the problem is repaired?
There is a small danger of fire.
I am suggesting you have either a wire that is shorted out, as might happen because of an automobile accident, or a headlight relay shorted out.
Often those relays are located inside a black plastic box under the hood of the car.
Sharing the year, make, and model of vehicle could cause someone else with a similar vehicle to offer some assistance as well.
God bless your efforts.

2005 pontiac sunfire headlights flickering when lights are off, but stop when lights are turned back on.

You have a problem with the daytime running lights system. It could be the sensor, relay or body control module. The sensor is on the top of the dash, there is a panel up there that pops of to access it. (be careful because they do break easily). The relay is in the under hood fuse panel. The BCM is under the dash. It could be one of these or just a bad connection at the BCM,relay, or sensor. These are the reason it flashes. When you turn the lights on manually, it bypasses all of this. Fixing this, you need a volt meter and wiring diagrams.

Lights

In my car the wheel on the light switch that controls the intensity brightness of the dashboard/interior lights is sometimes too close to being right next to the level of rotating the wheel so the lights are on continuously. I just rolled back the wheel a little and it corrects itself but if I drive a while hitting bumps etc. the wheel moves and I get the flickering of the inside lights. Outside headlights are OK though. I didn't know which lights you had the flicker.
