SOURCE: SRS light stays on

This is most likely a wiring issue in the steering column.  I advise you not to attempt to repair this on your own unless you are an experienced mechanic.  If you do be very cautious as the airbag wiring runs through there and can be a very dangerous mistake.

SOURCE: horn wont blow

the problem is the rotating contact that connects the horn to the steering column wiring harness, this part is called the clock-spring contact, u must remove the steering wheel to change the part out.

SOURCE: cruise control and horn does not work

Test and replace the clockspring. Everything you mentioned runs through it first before splitting off different paths to thier own components. It is behind the steering wheel. Remember to disconnect the battery first before making any repairs.

I can't get my horn to work on my 2001 dodge caravan.

Do you have a air bag light lit on the instrument cluster ? I ask this because , if the air bag light is lit , could be a clock spring problem . I know ,what the heck is this guy talking about . You have a air bag on the steering wheel ,the horn button is on the steering wheel . The clock spring is located under the steering wheel , in the top of the steering coulmn . It has flat wire tape in side that allows the steering wheel to be turned full left to full right , keeping the horn , air bag , an any other button's on the steering wheel connected electricly to the vehicle. Plus there is a relay , when you push the horn button it energizes the relay turning on the horns. Watch these videos , will explain a little better .

How cars clock spring works

The horn relay is located in the under hood fuse box .

2001 VW Bug Horn was randomly honking, Now it wont work at all. Relays and Fuses are good. Should I just replace the horn itself? Not quite sure whats the issue.Want to figure out before making drive

it the horn activates randomly when driving and when the steering wheel is moved , the problem will be the ground contact under the steering wheel
there is a small spring loaded button that runs on a slip ring in the back of the steering wheel and intermittent/ random operation can be traced back to a fault in this area
the horn works so it is good , the fuses and relays are working to make the horn work so they are good ( unless there is a grounding problem with the relay causing the relay to operate and blow the horn)

Horn wont work

Sounds like the horn button located in the steering wheel has gone bad. Most of today's cars also have the driver airbag located the same unit. To repair/replace one you must replace the entire unit. Your locking system blows the horn directly without going through the horn button on the steering wheel, similar to a doorbell working from both front and back door of your house. The horn button/air bag unit can be purchased at your dealer. Hope this helps.

2001 passat horn blows when turning steerign wheel

Have you opened up the horn button at the center of steering column. Check for continuity and that the button is fine..... furthermore the wiring harness from that button running along the steering column may have worn insulation and shorting out when, as you described, turn the wheel. That would be my initial first attack on your issue.

Horn just quit working.

Do you get a click when you press the button? The relay should be audibly clicking if it's working.
If it is clicking then I'd check the horn itself, might be bad or have loose connection. If no clicking sound at all then I'd suspect bad relay or fuse (if it has a dedicated one), also possibly bad switch.

How do you troubleshoot a defective horn 2001 ford crown victoria?

Find the horn and use a test light to try to ground out one of the two terminals to see if it sounds. If it does, then the horn is ok, but it may be the switch in the steering wheel.

To test the steering wheel switch, take the horn cover off of the steering wheel and search for the lead for the button and try to ground it out. It may sound if you do this. If it does, then there is something wrong with the button connection at the clock spring.
---
Here are instructions on how to remove and replace the steering wheel which can help to understand how to troubleshoot the horn switch which is related to the clock spring electrical connector:

Steering Wheel Removal & Installation To Remove:
NOTE: Make sure the wheels are in the straight-ahead position. Disconnect the battery ground cable and wait at least one minute.
WARNING
To avoid the risk of serious personal injury, read and follow all warnings, notes and instructions in the deactivation procedure. Deactivate the supplemental restraint system (SRS).
  1. Remove the driver side air bag.
  2. Disconnect the clockspring electrical connector.
  3. Remove and discard the steering wheel bolt.
  4. Use steering wheel puller and remove steering wheel.
CAUTION
Removing the steering wheel without using a puller can damage the column bearings. Using a suitable puller, remove the steering wheel.
Remove the steering wheel while routing the wires from the clockspring through the steering wheel.
WARNING
To avoid the risk of serious personal injury, read and follow all warnings, notes and instructions in the reactivation procedure. Reactivate the supplemental restraint system (SRS).
To Install:
  1. Install steering wheel, while guiding wires from clockspring through.
  2. Install new steering wheel bolt. Tighten to 30 ft. lbs. (40 Nm).
  3. Connect the clockspring electrical connector.
  4. Install the driver's side air bag.
