Change low beam headlight

Open the hood.

If you need to change the headlight bulb on the driver’s side, remove the air intake cover (see below.)

Remove the electrical connector from the bulb by pulling the connector straight back.
Remove the rubber weather seal by pulling on the tab.

Unclip the end of the hold-down wire from its slot. Pivot it out of the way and remove the bulb.

Insert the new bulb into the hole, making sure the tabs are in their slots. Pivot the hold-down wire back in place and clip the end into the slot.

Install the rubber seal over the back of the headlight assembly. Make sure it is right side up; it is marked TOP.

Push the electrical connector onto the new bulb.

Turn on the headlights to test the new bulb.

(Driver’s side) Reinstall the air intake cover.

If you are working on the driver’s side: Remove the two pins holding the air intake cover by pulling the head on each pin (careful, I think these are the kind of heads that do not come all the way out, but only far enough so the pin can be removed) . Remove the air intake cover.

Hope this helps you.

Change headlight

  1. Locate the back of the headlamp assembly on either side that you will replace the bulb - You will see 2 rubber gasket seals with the headlamp bulb wires connectors in the middle of them.
  2. For the bulb you want to replace, carefully pry off the rubber gasket seal and disconnect the wire connector.
  3. Carefully locate the metal "locking" wire that is against the back of the bulb assembly and remove it by pushing in the end of the wire and unhooking it from the bulb holder assembly.
  4. Remove the bulb and note the way it was sitting in the holder assembly.
  5. Reinstall new bulb and reverse directions to close up
