How to remove door panel on 1992 ferrari 512 tr

On 1992 and later models, the neutral safety switch is incorporated into the Manual Lever Position or Transmission Range MLP/TR sensor.

RENOVAL & INSTALLATION

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
   
2. Raise and support the vehicle safely on jackstands.
   
3. Place the transmission in Neutral.
   
4. Remove and discard the manual control lever nut, then remove the lever from the transmission.
   
5. Detach the TR sensor electrical harness connector, remove the TR sensor retaining bolts, then pull the TR sensor off of the transmission case.
   

To install:

1. Position the TR sensor against the transmission case and loosely install the 2 retaining screws.
   
2. Attach the TR sensor electrical harness connector.
   
3. Use an alignment tool, such as the TR Sensor Alignment Tool T93P-70010-A, to align the TR sensor slots.
   
4. Tighten the TR sensor bolts to 80-100 inch lbs. (9-11 Nm).
   
5. Position the manual control lever onto the TR sensor, then install the new lever nut to 22-26 ft. lbs. (30-35 Nm).
   
6. Lower the vehicle.
   
7. Connect the negative battery cable.

ADJUSTMENT

Park is the last detent when the manual control lever is full forward. Return 2 detents toward the output shaft for Neutral.

1. Position the manual control lever in Neutral .
   
2. Raise the and safely support the vehicle.
   
3. Loosen the sensor retaining bolts.
   
4. Insert Gear Position Sensor Adjuster tool T93P-700 10-A or equivalent, into the slots.
   
5. Align all 3 slots on the MLP sensor with 3 tabs on the tool.
   
6. Tighten the attaching screws to 80-100 inch lbs. (9-11 Nm).
   
7. Lower the vehicle.

"Very Carefully" (sorry couldn't resist) Are you sure you want to attempt this? Why I ask is I know 2 Fer. owners both very confident "wrenches" and I watched them literally destroy a drivers door panel and it was mega-bucks to fix/repair. All kinds of things broke. My advice to you my friend, is take it to dealer or VERY reputable hi end repair shop (and one that has insurance - yes it's that bad) I wish I gad better news and hopefully saved you $$ and headaches.

There are a number of screws and clips holding that particular door panel onto the door. Recommend you get a service manual with a detailed diagram showing how to disassemble that panel, else you might destroy most of the clips trying to remove the panel.

Hi I had a similar problem on the passenger door, when I lifted the handle the door would not open from the inside. The problem I had was that the wire running from the handle to the lock had become unclipped. This was a very easy fix....if you remove the hand rest panel behind the inner door handle( it just unclips) then you can see the pull wire, with my problem a plastic bracket had unclipped from the handle it only needs to be reattached to the handle and the problem is fixed.

there are usuall plastic clips holding the door panel ....a special tool is usually used (cheap to buy) it looks like a very slim "u" shape ....i have just pulled panels off in the past but sometimes the plastic clips break ....they are easy to replace though ....go very slow and look closly and you should be ok ....make sure you have removed all screws there are usually a combination of screws and hidden clips

You'd probably have to get a reprogrammed or chipped engine computer. Removing the rev limiter though is a sure fire way to destroy your engine. Even Ferraris and Porches have rev limiters.

You have to remove the door lock knob to get to the screw. Make sure door is unlocked,then you take an pull the knob outward til pops off.Then you should be able to remove the screw.

Removal and Installation

Remove the front door speaker. For additional information, refer to Section 415-00.
Remove the speaker watershield.
Remove the 2 speaker standoffs.
If equipped, remove the window regulator handle.
Separate the handle cover from the handle.
Remove the screw.
Remove the window regulator handle.
Remove the spacer.

Remove the window control switch. For additional information, refer to Section 501-11.
Remove the bolt.
Remove the 2 front door lower bolts.
Remove the door handle cover plate.
Remove the 2 door handle screws.
Remove the front door handle.
Guide the door handle through the opening in the trim panel.
CAUTION: Do not pull directly outward on the front door trim panel, as damage may occur.

Remove the front door trim panel.
Lift upward to remove the front door trim panel.
To install, reverse the removal procedure.

The Ferrari engine was made 356 and 512 boxer flat 12 engines had 6 cyl per side 180 degrees apart. 4 carburators three barrels each Webbers. And just when you thought the 512 and 356 could not get better they used bosch electronic fuel injection.
