Check fuel pressure

did you install the filter the correct way
sounds like the pump is not working properly
a faulty regulator will dump excess fuel

sound like fuel filter stopped up.if you have distributor type engine your idle speed could be too low and ignition timing off a little.

at answe dont make any sence considering he said it wont run when he touches gas.. how is he going to keep it reving if it stalla as soon as he touches the gas?????

Could be a vacuum leak as it falls off under acceleration and does not play a part then. Check for broken or cracked hoses.....

i have an 88 dodge shadow turbo with a five speed. the car will fall on its face at 5500rpm coming out of first gear. and its rpm range gets lover with each gear. the fuel pressure rises when it fall on its face. the car never dies just falls then picks back up and will fall again unless you keep it under the that rpm. then it is fine. what could be the problem?

Check the Fuel pump with a presure guage.
