My truck idles fine ,but as soon as you give it gas it falls on it's face. I've changed the plugs, wires, cap, rotor, air filter, and the O2 sensor was changed 6 mo. ago. Could it be a clogged cat. converter?

i have an 88 dodge shadow turbo with a five speed. the car will fall on its face at 5500rpm coming out of first gear. and its rpm range gets lover with each gear. the fuel pressure rises when it fall on its face. the car never dies just falls then picks back up and will fall again unless you keep it under the that rpm. then it is fine. what could be the problem?
sounds like you need to rebuild you carb
this fine additive that is added to gas dissolves the hoses and some gaskets and ends up in your carb check your fuel filter to see if its clear
