SOURCE: 2000 Toyota Corolla VE -- Glove Box Stuck

The most common cause is something inside the glove box jammed in the latch. Push glove box door release , and GENTLY insert a flat putty knife, plastic knife, or similar type tool in the groove of door, GENTLY try to pry open the door. U will probably (hopefully) find a napkin, map, or glove (does anybody actually put gloves in the glove box?) jammed in the inside latch. Let me know how u make out.

SOURCE: vent door stuck and can't remove glove box

why can't you remove the glove box? You can get at the door from under the dash but it's a ***** to do. try lubing the vent cables unless it uses the vacuum motor, if it uses the vac. motor it will be hard to get to without the glove box being out.

Testimonial: "Thanks! I just don't know how to remove the glovebox."

SOURCE: glove box is stuck

The lid "locks" into place by two retractable nibs on the outer sides of the glove box that are supposed to retract back into the lid housing when you lift up on the release lever.
If you can get a flat piece of metal like a slim jim down the sides of the glove box lid, you should be able to push the nib back into the housing, thus releasing the lock hold of the lid.
I just had to do this today when my Hyundai Tiburon glove box closed and refused to open agian.
It seems like the latch has a tendency to malfunction after a while and no longer is able to active the retraction of the nibs on each side.
Mine was retracting only on one side, so I could see that it was kind of "trying" to release but was still locked in place.
I hope this helps some
Good luck!

Heat does not work efficient at times, especially on the passenger side vents. Just had thermosatat replaced, and problem still exists. 2004 corrola is well maintained by Toyota service since purchased....

did you change your in cabin air filter? It is located behind the glove box. When this gets clogged the air flow is much less. Remove glove box by removing one screw on limit strut, then squeeze sides of glove box together and remove. The filter is located behind the removable rectangular panel through the glove box opening. carefully pull out the filter, noting air flow direction on filter, you don't want leaves and other debris to fall into the blower motor. You can no replace the filter, or blow the dirty one out with compressed air. The filters are less than $10.

You can make an easy test of the heater core by touching the inlet and outlet hoses. The temp of the hoses should be about the same with the engine running and the heater in the off position.

Lastly pressure check or replace the radiator cap. Make sure the hose to the coolant recovery tank is not cracked or leaking; if it were you could get air in the cooling system, this would cause the trouble you describe.

How do i open the truk of my 98 toyota corrola?

There is a lever to open the trunk next to the fuel door lever under the left front side of the driver seat.

If the lever is broken or missing, check if the back seats recline, allowing access to the trunk. Crawl in and pull the lever going to the lock cylinder.

If neither suggestion works, call a locksmith.
