The air filter is located towards the bottom of the engine compartment on the drivers side. It is hard to see if unless you know where it is. To get to it start by removing the two 8mm or 10mm screws which hold a piece of plastic duct work to the radiator support bracket. Next loosed the two worms clamps which hold on the round intake duct work to the engine. All of this is located on the drivers side. After these clamps are loosened remove that portion of the intake, you will have to pull a black tube off of this portion of intake also. Just remember to put it back on later. Now you should be able to see down inside the engine compartment. You will see a black box on your right side. The cover for this box is held on by metal clips. When you unclip these clips this cover will open and expose the air filter. Simply pull the air filter out and replace it with a new one. Installation is the exact reversal of this procedure. with most front wheel drives you must remove the passenger tire and reach through to the starter bolt with an extension and if I remember write with a 15 mm socket you can reach through and take out the bolt
