Replace the stereo in the Jeep.
Aftermarket or factory your choice.
There is no way to self resolve this problem...
And any junk yard stereo you buy will need an activation code. Just buy a good Pioneer or Kenwood stereo and install it. Problem solved. No more BS

SOURCE: cd will not play and keeps ejecting

source http://www.kenwood.nl/support/veelgestelde_vragen/ Changer Error Codes ? E-00: Poor Cable connection. ? E-01: Magazine not properly set in changer. ? E-02: No Disc in magazine. ? E-03: CD does not have selected track number. ? E-04: Disc is dirty, upside down or unreadable. ? E-10: No data is recorded on the MD. The player plays the next disc automatically. ? E-99: Changer malfunction, disc may be caught in machine or changer requires service. Sounds like the mech is gummed up, jammed, or a cd is stuck inside. Get a nerd to open it up and check it over. SOURCE: CD Player won't work

Try pressing the eject and load buttons at the same time, with the car ignition in the ON position. You might have to hold both buttons for 15 to 30 seconds for this to work.

Good luck!

SOURCE: 2004 Jeep Liberty CD Problem

Sometimes if you shut off the vehicle, then continually press the eject button, while you start it, and continue to press the button, until the radio is on for a minute, it'll work. Other than that, Sorry. Best wishes to you.

Cd stuck inside cd player

I had this happen on my Ford. I used a blank CD and pushed it partially into the slot to push the stuck disc back in. At the same time, pressing the eject button. I ruined the disc that was in there (scratched badly) but it did eject in the end.

I have a 2005 Jeep grand cherokee...with a 6 disc cd player. It has worked fine for 3 years since i bought the vehicle...(i used burned cds in it usually) and all of a sudden it will not play or read the...

this is a typical problem with the factory stereo. usually there is nothing you can do for the Cd player, because most likely a cd got jammed and broke or bent some internal components. however try usig a credit card to help eject. insert it partially into the slot and pull out if the cd tries to come out. if this doesen't work then you will have to have the cd removed by tearing it apart. this usually ends up with at least one or two scratched cds and a deck in a million pieces.

2000 jeep grand cherokee limited 10 disk cd changer says ''err''

The in-trunk units have a tendancy to go bad. you can take the cover plastic interior cover off to access the CD changer, un bolt the changer, and visualy inspect the two rollers for debris, or missing /broken gears that move the rollers to take the CD from the CD cartrage to the player. if that looks fine, chances are that the laser went bad (common in rear mount units) and you can order a new one from Jeep, or you can remove it and update the in-dash head to an aftermarket of your choice (& yes you steering wheel controls will still work). you could also fit a more modern MP3 unit where the Changer was.

Inserted cd disc. play music on cd but will not eject the disc cd is stuck in cd player

Mostly The cd is jammed between the laser sensor and the cd rotator.Try removing the audio player and reseting the whole device if possible.Or if you have sufficient technical know how.Open the player try to manually open the disc tray.and remove thedisc. This can happen even  if the disc is broken inside the player.
