2001 Chevy Silverado seems truck park brake light stays on at all times

Once the ABS light is on there is a problem with the ABS system. You can't really guess with this stuff. Also it becomes a safety issue when abs light is on the ABS system is in-operable. Here is my advice take your vehicle to any AUTO-ZONE store and they will check for FREE and let you know why this light is on it could be anything form abs sensors(wheel sensors) or something like that, they are four of them one in each wheel so make sure to get exact info as to what is the exact code and meaning. check power steering fluid. first. if all good . power steering is going. your hydro boost brake system depends on the power steering pump if it goes out your brake go out.

Remove the fuse! The fuse box under the hood has the DRL (daytime running light) fuse. The underside of its lid should tell you which one. Either that, or just remove the bulbs from their sockets.
If ALL the lights (head, tail, dash,etc. are coming on all the time), then those aren't DRL's. There's a light sensor (little round black dome) on top of the dashboad in the middle front nearest the windshield. They sometimes fall down inside the dash (where it's dark!) and this triggers all the lights to come on when the ignition is on.

you have an abs fault. have your abs system scanned for codes.

your base brakes will continue to function normally

One of the sensors has gone bad and needs to be replaced, the other thing to that would also do that is the ABS sensor is dirty or needs to be re gaped to the speed ring on the hub. There was a issue bulletin with your Tahoe on the ABS activating under 8 km/h. Good luck and hope this helps, if not clean out the sensor with brake parts cleaner and check the wire harness and ABS sensor bracket. Re gap the sensor to the speed ring hub. Here is the bulletin.
