Crank at twelve and cam at six with number one cylinder tdc ?

wiring, fuse and or fusible link, bad alternator... we can't rule any of them out so you have to do the work or pay someone to rule them out one at a time

Go to www . rockauto . com - Select Nissan - Pick Year 1983 - Pick Pickup - Choose Engine Size 2.0L L4, 2.2L L4, 2.2L L4 DIESEL 2.4L L4 or 2.5L L4 DIESEL. Then type in the part that you need "Transmission Bushing" You probably have a Standard Transmission and probably need a Clutch Pilot Bushing. The cost runs between $0.87 cents to as high as $1.42

In 1983 the fuel filter was in the carburator. Unscrew the fuel feed line that ges into the frnt of the carb and then undo the really big nut. Inside the nut is the fuel filter. Pay attention to how it goes in spo you don't get it backwards when you put it back together.
There is also a sock on the fuel pick-up in the tank.
Your problem probably is in the tank selector valve. It is mounted on the inside of the frame on the passenger's side at the front of the tanks. I don't know if there is any way to fix it except to replace it. I never bothered, just used the tank that worked. The GM service manual doesn't show any repair procedures for it. Hope this helps.

check all fuses to see if blown

The wipers have a control module in the wiper motor. That is what is wrong. On that model you will have to replace the wiper motor . Good Luck
