I would suspect the ignition starter switch or a loose connector to that switch. See photo of switch below
The radio AM and cassette still work, do you still think it's the Ignition switch?
I have never heard of this, and I was a Jeep dealer tech, so I'm guessing. It could be a bad antenna ground as well.
I did check the grounds on the antenna at the radio and on the fender as well, cleaned and put back together. So, I'll try the ignition switch as well. Thanks

SOURCE: remove the camshaft position sensor from my 1999 jeepcherokee
The Camshaft Position Sensor (CMP) on the 4.7L V - 8 engine is bolted to the front side of the right cylinder head. Disconnect the sensors connector. Take out the bolt that holds the sensor in place. Lightly pry out the sensor being careful not to break it. Clean out the hole and install the new sensor( put a little oil on the new sensors o-ring to help installation).
SOURCE: oil pressure gage at zero
I have the same problem,an erratic reading on the oil pressure gauge.I have been in touch with Chrysler Jeep (USA) and this is a common problem. The oil pressure sensor needs to be replaced this is on the oil pump by the oil filter.I changed mine and no more problems.
