I would suspect the ignition starter switch or a loose connector to that switch. See photo of switch below

The radio AM and cassette still work, do you still think it's the Ignition switch?

I have never heard of this, and I was a Jeep dealer tech, so I'm guessing. It could be a bad antenna ground as well.

I did check the grounds on the antenna at the radio and on the fender as well, cleaned and put back together. So, I'll try the ignition switch as well. Thanks

SOURCE: remove the camshaft position sensor from my 1999 jeepcherokee

The Camshaft Position Sensor (CMP) on the 4.7L V - 8 engine is bolted to the front side of the right cylinder head. Disconnect the sensors connector. Take out the bolt that holds the sensor in place. Lightly pry out the sensor being careful not to break it. Clean out the hole and install the new sensor( put a little oil on the new sensors o-ring to help installation).

Is there a fuse that controls spark to plugs on a 1999 buick century?

There is a fuse for the ignition module , ELEK IGN 15 amp . Really don't think this would be your problem , more then likely the crankshaft position sensor or the ignition module is . Your best bet have it towed to a qualified repair shop.

Engine light on with code P0725

P0725 JEEP Description The Engine Control Module (ECM) monitors the engine speed through the Crankshaft Position (CKP) sensor with the engine running, and send signal to the Transmission Control Module (TCM).
The code is set when the TCM does not get an engine speed signal from the ECM.
Could be a problem with either computer, the link between the two, or the crank sensor.

I have a 1993 jeep grand Cherokee Laradeo and it is not running. I have installed a new fuel pump, and crankshaft position sensor. It has good spark but it still isn't turning over, any ideas?

Does the check engine light on your dash light up when you turn on the ignition, before trying to crank the engine? Does the fuel pump come on for a second, and prime the fuel lines, when you turn the ignition on? Does the fuel injector wires get the pulse signal from the ecu while cranking? If not, your jeep ecu might be in need of repair. It's a common problem with that generation of grand Cherokees.

1993 jeep grand cherokee limited starts for 2-3 seconds then dies. new fuel pump and crank sensor. It will run if ether is sprayed in intake. Fuel pressure is good. Can not "feather" gas...

Sounds like your injectors are not getting any signal from the ecu. Have you checked to see if you have a check engine light that illuminates when you first turn the ignition to on? If no check engine light is lit on your dash, your ecu needs to be repaired or replaced.

1993 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 4.0L 6L Auto Trans. Turns over but wont start No spark on plugs, good compression. Just put new ignition coil, rotor cap plugs plug wires. but, checked power supply to coil...

Check for a signal at the ignition coil with a node light or a 12 volt led test light while cranking. Check for a signal at a fuel injector connector jack while cranking. If both these signals are missing. Ignition and fuel signals, then the problem may be some common point. My 've will loose both these signals if there is no crank shaft signal or position sensor. CPS is on rear of engine, on transmission bell housing. Check for connections of PCS.

The blinkers and wipers and radio dont work unless the key is turned backwards, if the jeep is running none of these work, this is a 1999 jeep wrangler tj

sounds like the accessory side of the ignition switch is not working. When the key is on run position the same wire that is hot coming out when the key is turned to accessory should be hot, along with the ignition wire that runs the engine. (hot meaning it has 12v)

My 2000 grand am anti theft radio is locked and I need help unlocking it

This solution is for a 1999 Grand Am SE am/fm radio with tape cassette player:
Ido not know if this works for other Grand Am products past or prior 1999.
If the lcd display of the radio indicates "LOC" if you do not see anything on the display the small light behind the display is out and you need electronics to go further. If LOC appears here is what to do:
First put the ignition key to the ACC position.
2- press the HR clock adjust button once only ; the display should read 000
3-push the HR button successively until you reach 17 on the radio displayffd4cd1.jpg 4-then press on the MN (minutes) button again until you reach the number 42
5-when the number 1742 appears on the display, press on the AM/FM button once and after on the POWER/VOL button to power up the radio.
