Check the oil filler cap for mayonaise. It may mean that your head gasket has gone, Go to a local garage and ask them to do a presure test on each cylinder to see if it fails on one. Have you checked the plugs for cleanness and oil contamination? that's where your problems sounds where it lies.

It is probably head gaskets - These need to be replaced.

Suburban overheats while driving but cools while stopped. Heat works very good

the flushing of the radiator did nothing as it only cleans out the already open cores but the blocked cores are still blocked. Fit a new radiator and possibly the bottom radiator hose as it may be sucking in as well restricting the flow of coolant from a partially blocked radiator cores.

Can a bad heater core cause your vehicle to overheat? I have a 1994 GMC Suburban

I WOULD SAY NO BECAUSE WATER ONLY CIRCULATES WHEN YOU TURN ON THE HEATER, BUT IF YOUR VEHICHLE CONTINUES TO OVERHEAT IT COULD BE 5 THINGS. CLOGGED RADIATOR,RADIATER HOSES.THERMOSTAT,RADIATER FAN SENSOR OR THE WATER PUMP

My 93 GMC suburban overheats. I will turn on the heater and cold air will blow out. Intermittently hot air will blow out and the tempreture will drop to normal levels. Im not sure where to look first.

The thermostat is bad, replace. Also, if coolant is dirty looking, you might want to take it to a garage and have the coolant system flushed. Good luck!

1999 gmc suburban has water loss

Good chance that it will be a bad heater core if your floor boards are getting wet, but has the inside of your windshield been fogging up. Most of the time when a heater core goes bad, the inside of the windshield fogs up. If the leak is not that bad, you can add 2 to three table spoon of common kitchen black pepper. The Black pepper will work it's way to the leak and plug it up till your can have it repaired properly and the black pepper will clean up easily when the cooling system get's flushed. Good luck and this should by you some time so you can work on it in the summer. Don't use any radiator stop leak, they just make a mess to your cooling systems water ways.

96 tracker overheats at highway speeds temp ok at idle or low speed. Replaced water pump thermostat flushed rad checked hoses. any ideas?

Presurize system with radiator cap on to see if you are holding 10 to 13 LB pressure as high as 17 LB. Get new radiator cap for your radiator. Check for a slow leak at pump hose thermostat conection , is it wet ?
Do you have a Summer Thermostat ?

A/C Cluth not working-replaced Cycling Switch already

the system has a definite leak and should be fixed then the system should be recharged there is a pressure switch that keeps the clutch from engaging when the system is low on freon which keeps from burning up the compressor

Little heat from heater

I had the same thing for two winters couldn't get good heat then the HEATER CONTROL VALVE,
up near the master cylinder, cracked and started leaking. I replaced it this summer and now the heater is working like new.
