If it is leaking oil then you need to plug it. Try a generic plug at an auto parts store

SOURCE: Hose below oil fill cap

It vents blow by cases from the crankcase back into the engine its part of the PCV (positive crankcase ventilation system). If it is split not a big deal hardware stores carry lots of hoses like that there about 50 cents per foot.

******** located on a 2006 malibu for transmission oil

The filler hole-- is the Red Cap-- on top of the unit,
next to the shift cable

The fluid level- is removing the 12mm Hex Head Bolt
on the case- just below the cooler tube, on unit

Fill till it runs out the hole- where you removed the plug

I would measure what comes out on the pan drop, to
be sure it is close to what is added

Toyota landcruiser front axle oil coming from breather? axle has the right oil and not over filled any i qule

AS diff breathers are only a screwed in fitting with a loose fitting cap over the opening the only way to get oil out is that the oil is not correct . Either up past the fill plug hole in the front of the diff housing or the oil is not 80-90 oep oil. Lighter oil will froth up and bubble out of the breather

Where is the transmission fill tube?

there is no fill tube for this car. There is a fill hole for it.It is located on the top of the transmission in the center. The cap is red.Unscrew it and use a funnel to fill.To check the fluid is another fun project. You will need to raise the vehicle and keep it level.next from the bottom of the vehicle under the right cv shaft to slightly to the front is a fill to plug. With the engine running in park, remove the plug and add fluid until fluid comes out of the plug hole on the side of the trans.when it does let it leakout until it only drips. Then, rein stall the side plug and shuit off the engine.you can now reinstall the fill plug on top of the trans.Hope this helps.

Where is the Transmission dip stick? (Yes it's an automatic)

I believe that one does not have a dipstick. You need to check the fluid by removing the fill plug located under the car on the passenger side of the transmission between the transmission pan and the oil pan. It will be a small brass colored plug.

The fill plug is on top of the transmission about in the center near where the transmission bolts to the engine. It will be red and look like a small oil cap.

The vehicle needs to be level and running in order to check the fluid level. The exhaust pipe is right there also so you'll have to be careful not to burn yourself while you are checking.. If you have the front jacked up and not the rear the level will be off.

The vehicle needs to be running before you pull the level plug on the underside of the transmission.

Once the vehicle is level, running, and up to temp pull the plug. make sure you have a drain pain under the car to catch any fluid that may come out. If a little fluid comes out than it is full. If no fluid comes out you'll have to add some through the fill plug on top of the transmission. Remove the fill cap and add fluid until it starts to come out of the hole. Reinstall the plug. Your good to go!

How to check transmission fluid in 2000 cavalier no dipstick or fill tube

It has a plug in the end of the case by the passenger side cv shaft. Start the engine and remove the plug. Fill the trans thru the fill cap until oil runs from the hole. Let me know if you need more info. The transmission is a 4T40E Right? 4 speed?

My golf transmission gears are schreeming for oil , it`s not my ford truck so I have no idea how to help it !where to find trans-oil fill

The 5 speed transmission has a 17mm plug that screws into to the end of the transmission, (it's to the right of the 3 inch round cap with VW on it). You can access it thru the driver side wheel well. Fill until gear oil comes out the hole.

I have a 1985 s10 blazer .. i drained the oil and replaced the plug, and replaced the oil filter .. however, i am unable to remove the oil fill cap. it does not pull out nor unscrew .. it does hand...

If you have any other fittings on the valve cover (pcv valve, breather tube etc) you can put a hose into the valve cover through that hole and fill it. (slowly...most have baffles inside). I have seen engines filled through the dipstick tube also (takes forever though).
Once you get oil in there, bring it to a shop and have someone show you how to get the fill cap off so it is easier next time.

I have a 2002 Dodge ram 1500. I have a leak in the fron dif

Look all around the housing for a fill plug about mid-way up from the bottom.
Unscrew the plug (ususally with a 3/8" ratchet extenesion) and pump in the correct gear oil until it just begins to drip out the fill hole. Replace the plug snugly.
