2000 Neon with small amount of oil leaking when parked. No oil leaking when put up on rack. Drives car around town seems fine, Drive car for a longer trip and no oil shows up on dipstick. Oil is added and the same thing happens again except this time we didn't add oil right away and when we checked the oil it was full! Checked radiator and fluid looks normal. Can't tell if if the oil is normal may be a little thin. Is this a head gasket problem. Car runs fine has a burnt oil smell when driving but no white smoke coming out of tail pipe.

Dodge Neons have problem with the valve seals so when driving it will leak oil throughout the seal into the combustion chamber or cylinder, burning the oil, in very small amounts that you don't see , of course in a log Trip it will burn more oil, they also have leak problem by the head gasket to outside the motor, close to the transmission housing..I would recommend to add a bottle of Lucas Motor Oil ,is a good additive , that protect the engine and prevent some type of leaks like this ones..hope this help

When u run your car for a long of time make sure the oil drops down to the oil pan with engine off for about 10 minutes then check oil. If you stop and then immediately u check the oil, oil level will show low, because some oil is at the cylinder head. I think the oil seals for the crankshaft are worn, their one infront of the engine and one behind, where the motor is connected to the transmission. When the head gasket is not good you see oil in the the coolant or coolant in oil and white smoke comes out and car doesn't have enough power, because there is not good compression

Ticking coming from engine 2000 town and country

Ticking is usually a sign of improper oil level or exhaust leaks often have a ticking sound. Try to listen to see if its in time with the normal exhaust sounds. If the oil level is fine and it doesnt sound like the exhaust, its probably a small mechanical issue. Get it checked out by a mechanic before the ticking object breaks and becomes worse.

Im looking where to put oil in automatic gearbox vw golf

there is a plastic cap facing the front of the car on the gearbox. this must be removed in order to fill autotrans fluid.
it is important though to ensure that the trans needs oil.
this is established by getting the car to running temperature and running the gears from Park to 1st a couple of times, then remove the screw on the bottom of the trans sump. a small very amount of oil should spill , about 20/30ml. if more than this comes out then the oil level is adequate.if only a small amount comes out then you should top up until the oil spills from the hole.
this must be done with the engine running. and ensure you use the OEM recommended oil for VW.
ensure the car is in park and wheels chocked. please be safe!!!!
run the gears form park to 1st and back to park a couple of times.

99 Sunfire Coolant keeps dumping

You need to find the source of the leak. it hasn't overheated yet because you keep catching it and re-filling. From your description, it sounds a lot like a bad water pump seal (part of pump) but without physically looking you can't be sure of that. when the pump seal begins to fail, internal pressure while running often will drive the seal tighter against the shaft stopping the leak. as pressure drops as the engine cools, the seal relaxes and permits seepage.
With time, that will change and it will leak all the time.

it sounds like your valve cover is bent, you may need to buy a new one, did you use any gasket sealer with the cork gsket? if not remove the valve cover and use gasket sealer..... Apply it driectly to the cork gasket...... if you did not use sealeant this is why it is leaking.
