These are unrelated problems. The battery to your truck is probably dead.

Truck dies going down the road and then to start it back you have to roll down electric window

Has it ever started without cranking down the windows?

IF it is true, then you have a Wire / Ground / Hot issue

Where can I read for free, how to remove the drivers door panel and check on the window regulator for my 1999 Chevrolet Silverado.

Hi Robert, We don't charge unless you want to pay. Have a look at the arm rest and on the underside you will see some holes. They may be covered with small plugs which need to be removed. Remove the cover behind the door release mechanism usually held in place with a Philips screw. carefully lift the cluster of switches (if mounted on the door panel) and disconnect the electrical plugs behind them. Remove the deep screws under the arm rest. Remove the door locking button and then take a flat tool with a broad blade and slide it between the panel and the door and gently pull towards you until you hear the studs pop open. Repeat along the bottom and sides of the panel until the panel is loose. Lift upwards and remove. Inside you should find an additional plastic cover which is glued in place. Carefully remove for reattachment during assembly. If you need to remove the regulator, drop the window to a position where the bolts of the rails attaching to the window are visible and accessible. Prop the window with a pole or something strong enough and remove the bolts holding it to the regulator. Remove the bolts holding the motor and the you may need to reconnect the power cables to the switch and maneuver the levers into a position where the motor can be removed through the opening in the door panel. Re assembly is opposite to disassembly. Make sure the panel studs are aligned with the holes correctly or they may break when pressing them in. Regards John

1999 chevy silver ado passenger side power window wont go up it does have power

Remove the two armrest screws, slide the armrest towards the back of the door to remove.Remove the "triangle" cover that covers the standard mirror attachment screws.Use a small screwdriver to pop the clips on the window switch, and unplug it.I believe the rest of the panel is just secured with clips(I replaced the inside driver door handle on my work truck with my own home made steel replacement handle recently, but it has manual windows)

My 1999 silverado passenger door will close sometimes but other times it will not shut. then i have to mess with the latch to get it to shut. also the dome light stays on like it doesnt know the doors...

You'll need to replace the door latch assembly. Not very difficult - the door panel has 3-5 screws in it (all hidden so you'll have to find them), once removed the panel will pop of with enough force - just be careful of the electrical connectors for the window and door lock switch. Remove all the rods from the actuator, remove the Torx screws holding it to the door body, and pull it out. Disconnect electrical connector...and reverse above procedure to reinstall.

How do you take the left door panel off 1999 chev silverado

Hello my name is Ben and I can help you with this. Your problem is listed as 1999 Silverado, so I hope this will help you. Look toward the front bottom and remove that screw, then there is one at the armrest. If power windows, carefully pry the switch assembly up and disconnect electrical connectors. If manual windows, there is a clip shaped like a " C " that holds the handle on a grooved shaft shaft. You can either buy a special tool to remove the clip or use a very thin screwdriver and pry it off from behind the crank handle. It helps to push the door panel in slightly to gain access to the back of the crank handle. CAUTION, the C clip has a tendency to fly off into outer space never to be seen again. Carefully pry out the trim piece around the door handle. Next remove that triangle shaped plastic piece at the top of the door trim, it just comes straight out, ( use a small screwdriver or putty knife to gently pry it out from the edge ) , once you are sure you have found all the screws, start at the bottom of the panel and pry it out, when the fasteners are out lift the panel up.If you meet STRONG resistance double check for any screws you missed. If you have any questions about this feel free to leave a comment and I will try to clarify my answer, Ben.

Need to remove inside door panel on drivers side 1999 chevy silverado z-71 3 door new body style

just pop out the triangle piece from the top at the top front of the door panel with a flat head screwdriver. Then simply pop out the door lock cover from the aft side and the door handle cover from the aft side as well. Then pop up your cap containing the auto door locks and windows and disconnect the cannon plugs. Then just remove 2 screws (1 from under the door lock/window cap and one just insde the door handle itself. You'll then life up and towards you to remove the panel. Don't pull it too far out because you'll still need to disconnect the speaker cannon plug and pull out the door open light at the bottom aft of the panel. You can then set the door panel off to the side.

I believe that the vehicle antitheft is tied into the drivers door lock. Maybe try disconnecting the battery for 2 minutes.

I need to install a side mirror on a 1999 mazda protoge

On the inside trim, you can remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. You'll need to lift the door panel upwards in order to get it off the window ledge. Then you'll need to manipulate the panel and disconnect the door handle linkage from the door handle and disconnect the wiring for your controls. Then you can access the bolts that secure the mirror onto the door
