2002 dodge ram 1500 motor has a little knock but drives good and doesnt run hot. Bought it from a man he said he ran it hot one time and now it has oil and water mixing. What do u think will fix it

Probably another engine.
Since you don't know why it got hot in the first place, it would be impossible to know what is damaged now.
The knock is probably from lack of lubrication because of the contaminated oil. And that would mean all of the bearings are worn. And a leaking head gasket or cracked head could allow coolant into the oil.
If it has more than 90,000 miles on the engine its probably not worth rebuilding if it needs all of the bearings replaced plus the cause of the leaking oil/coolant repaired.

Whatr makes oil sludge form under Izuzu Trooper 1988 Model

great question, (old)
oil and water do that.
or not changing oil until 25,000 miles like some dweeb, synthetic oil users suck in to the lie.
or driving only 1 mile per day (short trips)
the engine needs to reach full operating temp to burn off all that water.
gasoline burns into CO2 and water. so water happens

or its a FORD (LOL)

Hesitating, hard starts, consumes alot of fuel

blown head gaskets would explain all of your issues
sorry to be the bearer of bad news but 191,000 miles is a good run if you had it since new

Oil in water overflow tank

I would think it is time to part with the car

Sounds like a bad head gasket

You could install a rebuilt motor, but it would be
worth twice what the car is worth

I have 101,000 miles on my Trailblazer and the last time I had an oil change they wanted to put in synthetic oil......nothing in the owners manual about doing this......should I change or keep using the...

its mostly personal preferance.. your trailblazer doesnt call for synthetic so if you dont want to spend the extra cash i would just get a decent brand 5w30 or 10w30

My tribute is getting hot and has a rattling/ tapping noise in the motor.I have checked the oil and water and both are fine. Is it possible that the timing belt needs replacing, and how often should this...

timing belts should be checked every 20,000 miles and replaced every 50,000 but sounds like you need a new thermostat and your valves are going bad

2002 F150 Temp reads hot and loss of power. The truck is not running hot when temp gauge reads hot and when I shut off truck and restart the gauge goes to normal for about a mile then back to hot. It...

You could try another oil pressure sensor or test the oil pressure with a gauge at the sensor port. If you think about it, the truck goes into a failsafe mode when there is a problem. You could go into failsafe with high temperatures too. The water temp sensor could be bad but with the oil light coming on, the oil sensor should be your first choice.

You can get a free scan at Autozone or Oreillys and it may show the problem. Sometimes it takes a better scan with dealership type diagnostics because the self-diagnostics on your truck is limited.

Failsafe mode would cause the power loss because the truck is designed to kill cylinders and to use the dead cylinders as hot exhaust pumps to cool the block.

2004 Dodge 1500 4x4 with 4.7 V8 getting hot. Replaced therm, water pump and tested Radiator. Still gets hot very quick. The water is cycling thru block, but not coming back into overflow when getting hot....

Do you have anti freeze in it? did you replce the radiator cap? is the fan clutch good? is the AC condensor full of bugs and the radiator? are you low on transmisson fluid? or Motor oil? all these will cause it to get hot.
