Your honda needs carborator service and tuning, if you want to do something by yourself than remove the airfilter case and find a small screw on the carburator, at the backside, turn it clockwise to reduce the gas ratio

I have 89 Honda accord LX I can't figure out why my batter isnt getting enough volts to start. And what keeps poping my main fuse under hood 70ABATTERY

Sounds like a short somewhere, check your wiring for any signs of burning. Something that blows your main fuse could easily damage your battery permanently. If your not familiar with autoelectrics you'll need to take it in, it can be difficult to diagnose problems. This might help. www.aa1car.com/library/battery_runs_down.htm

1988 5 speed Honda Accord

Ensure your spark plugs, wires (ignition coil and spark) and your filters (air and fuel) are within 2 years of installation It's erratic at 800 rpm as the engine is cold and they like the 2200 range for 3 minutes before they kick down on their own. Press the pedal twice before inserting your key. The owners manual states depending on the outside temperature, the engine will require more priming. Update if possible.

I have an 89 Honda Accord lx and it idles too low

The idle speed for my 88 accord lx is 700-850 rpm for standard idle speed. The stalling is a seperate issue. When were plugs, wires, air/gas filters and distributor last checked? How long has engine been running for when you stall? Is the temprature gauge high? Any lights coming on when stall occurs? I am not a mechanic, but a DYI'er. These are common questions I am always asked when troubleshooting my Honda. :)

89 accord always idles at 3000rpm

Either the carb is misadjusted, or you have a vacuum leak somewhere letting in unmetered air.
