Question about 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee
Brake lights work fine when no running/tail lights are on. When the head/tail lights are on, the right side brake light does not work. Bulbs are new connections look good
Sometimes a bad ground can cause this. when the other lights are not being used the brake light can backfeed through another bulb to get a ground.

Thanks for this explanation. the driver side stop light on my 2004 GC did not work when lights on. I followed these instructions and within 5 minutes everything was fine. the connections did look a bit discoloured but a quick clean and reseating of the bulb did the trick.
