My 2001 325Ci Convertible has a problem with

My 2001 325Ci Convertible has a problem with drivers door. The remote key will unlock both doors, but I can't open the driver's door with the outside door handle. I have to enter on the passenger side, open the door using the inside door handle. This just started a few days ago.

sounds like the door rod has come off,u need to take door card off and have a look!

linkage might have disconnected. take the door panel off and inspect mechanical linkages.
