Something has tripped off your ABS computer. You really have to go to a garage or dealer to find out what went wrong.

Abs light stays on and abs system does the same

Try adding brake fluid to the reservoir that should put the light to rest if not when have you had the brakes serviced last, if you start to hear a metal rubbing noise waste no time to get the brakes serviced chances are you need pads or shoes.. Every 25,000 to 30,000 miles should have them inspected other wise you risk rotor or drum damage if the pads or shoes wear down too far.. hope this helps..

When i first start driving my car, the brakes make a very loud grinding noise. if i press on the brake the hesitate, and push back. this only occurs for a while then the ABS light turns on and the work...

The loud grinding noise may be due to worn pads or brake shoes. I suggest you have all brakes on the vehicle inspected for worn pads, shoes, and possibly worn rotors. The ABS light may indicate uneven brake functioning, so for safty sake, have the brake system checked out.

99 Toyota corolla. I just replaced the brakes all the way around a month ago. pads on front, shoes on back. It now makes an awful grinding sound when the brakes are applied and sounds like metal to metal....

You'll have to determine which wheel the sound is coming from and check it again. It could be something hitting the rotor or drum other than the shoes and pads. Like a brake spring or guide.
You can raise each front wheel one at a time and have someone step on the brakes while you listen too. This may turn on the ABS light however.

Changed front pads and rear shoes, now abs light stays on

A common problem with fords. The brake pads and shoes are semi-metalic, and the abs sensor is magnetic. With time and wear from the old pads, and dirts and road grime, All of these things build up on the sensor. Fortunately this is usually a simple fix. If you don't already have this on had, go to you closest parts store and get a can of Brake Cleaner. The cheapest will do just fine. Locate the abs sensor ( usually on the hub assembly ) and spray them off. Be generous with the brake cleaner. By the time you crank your car back up, this light should be gone.

2002 Buick Rendezvous Service traction system and ABS lights, grinding when turning ans braking

The ABS and Service Traction system may be due to bad sensors or signal reaching the ABS/Traction Control computer. The grinding may be due to uneven or unsmooth rotors, and/or worn out pads or shoes.

I would recommend that the entire braking system be diagnosed at your local dealer or brake service facility.

Abs light won't go away

What you need to do is get the codes from the Electronic Brake Control Module,(ebcm). This will tell you what wheel is making the light go on.Could be a sensor or wiring to the sensor or the EBCM.Generally the brake pads or shoes themselves will not cause the anti lock brake light to come on.If you post back with the codes I can help you out with diagnosing the problem.Hope this helps.Good luck.

Abs and park brake lights come on together

There is an ABS sensor on each wheel. Check each one and make sure they are plugged in first. If they all are plugged in, then you may need to replace one or more of them. You can usually see if they are bad. Hope this helps.

Abs & Brake light on.

I have found that the wheel sensors for the abs system get very dirty and cause the abs warning light to come on. You can try to clean them if you have the tools to take them off but usually you just want to replace them.

Your brake warning light and your rear braking problem may be caused by the same problem,
the cable sticking. Good luck!

ABS Light

I would not ignore this problem. Some damage has been caused to your braking system, i doubt if is is as simple as resetting the abs sensor. You should have the wheels removed and the suspension and braking systems fully checked over either by yourself or a competent mechanic .as the grinding sound could be a symptom of a serious safety hazard.

Driving on a flat could have buckled the rim or damaged the discs, steering or suspension.

Just had new brake shoes fitted and now have strange noises coming from rear wheels also abs light is on

whoever replaced the shoes has probably damaged the sensor by knocking it or has taken it out,[dont have to] and not plugged it in again. im picking it has been knocked. they dont like that too much.and that will cause the light to come on. or the brake pad wear sensor [on the rhr side] is damaged or not re installed. & the strange noise could be incorrectly adjusted shoes or not installed correctly.
