It should be the white wire going from the distributer to the coil.

When I hook up my truck to my trailer turn on my right turn signal my four way flashers come on why is this happening?

Hello Dewey, I can think of three reasons that could cause your problem. The truck pigtail is improperly wired, the trailer pigtail is improperly wired, or the trailer wires are contacting each other that they shouldn't.

Check the ground wire to the fuel sending unit @ the tank, A ground wire can be spliced in and located on a good metal surface just about any where..

99 grand cherokee blower selector high position not working. Blows only level 1-3. replaced resistor, same problem.

automatic or manual a/c.

I'm going to assume manual but Auto is simular and i can give some direction if you have that as well.

There will be a black with tan wire at the blower resistor. This is the wire the HVAC control head grounds to turn the fan on high speed. With a test light hooked to power unplug the resistor, set the blower speed to high, turn the key to the run position. the test light should turn on when you probe the connector. If it doesn't pull the control head and back probe that same wire at the back of the control head with everything still plugged in. If the test light again does not illuminate the the control head is bad and not providing ground

If the test light does turn on when you probe the blower resistor connector plug the resistor back in. Turn the blower speed to the low setting. With your test light hooked to ground see if there is power on the black with tan wire. if there is turn the HVAC off and ground that wire with a jumper wire. the fan should run at high speed. If it doesn't you have a defective resistor.

Brake light socket was replaced with newer type and it has 2 black wires and one green wire, the older on has only 2 black wires how do I hook this up a friend hooked it up and the brake light doesnt work...

If the old one had two wires and the new one has three wires you have the wrong socket or you replaced the wrong socket.

The green wire is ground. One of the black wires will be power for the park lights and the other will be power for the brake/turn signal. Since you don't know what black wire goes to what you can temporarily connect then two the wires on the car to make sure the park light is dimmer than the brake light. If it is not than swap the two black wires and continue with the repair.

I need to hook up a centrodyne taxi meter to 2000 dodge caravan. I need to know how to hook it up. thanks

It's very easy on the pcm you will find a blue/orange wire. That's you hook up wire(vss). There are two set of wires off the meter bracket one comes with three wires and the other one with two. The one with 3 one goes to battery(red) ground(black) and top light(green or white). The other set of wires only the white one is connected to the vss.(vehicle speed sensor)

Can I put an aftermarket tachometer on a 1987 Ford Escort GT that has no RPM Module hooked up? While turning car into race-car, I accidentally cut the wiring on the RPM Module and lost the harness. I now...

its really easy im not to familiar with that vehicle but it all works the same if it hasd a distributer and a seperate coil or even a dis cap mounted coil either way there is two wires that run into that actual coil all you have to do is tap into them and figure out which way works just pull back the unsulation on the two wires that your tac will come with there might be 3 but one will be a ground and just kinda half way hook it up till you see the tac come to life its really easy just be patient and dont worry if the wires are wrong it wont blow anything up the tac just wont work until you hook it up right 9 times out of 10 when you buy a tach it comes with directions

Having a hard time wiring a replacement taillight in 1999 Regal

You should just be able to find a hot wire 12v most likely the black wire, the ones with stripes are most likely tied in for trailoring lights. If there are only two wires 1 wire can go to a bolt or other bare metal to ground. You have a test light in the light itself, wire the 1 wire to a good ground and with the other end of the light wire touch to black wire with the appropriate turn signal on and when the light blinks in correct rhythem than viola, you have the correct wire. Direct current operates thru the light it doesn't have to be hooked up to alternate back to the power source like A/C. You could dissasemble the good/other turn signal and see which wire goes where, but with double element bulbs it is a 50/50 chance on which one is the turn lamp or the brke lamp. good luck.
