Question about 2002 Jeep Liberty
I had a similar problem. My dimmer switch on turn signal bar had to be turned down to avoid the interior lights coming on at any given time. Try turning the dimmer switch down a little and see if that solves the problem otherwise you have to get a new switch installed. These vehicles were put together poorly.

Consider replacing the multi function switch on the turn signal control arm.

It could be an earthing fault or more seriously burnt wiring you need to get it checked out by an auto electrician
