A/C heat pump starts and shuts off, two to three times, and then starts and runs for fifteen to twenty minutes. What should I look for, as I know this may be harmful to the unit

Check for a plugged drain tube outside on the firewall or in that area opposite your heater & AC. Clear it out with piece of wire or similar to remove any debris. Be careful not to poke too hard or deep & puncture heater core or damage any other part. You can usually see liquid on the ground when sitting with AC on, my guess is yours is very limited now, or none at all.

yes it has 2 i do not believe thats your problem though have your pump and filter checked and make sur they pressure test it as well im referring to fuel

Check your engine area for the heater hose coming from the radiator to the engine. This is where the thermostat is located. Squeeze or tap the hose vigorously to attempt loosening a stuck thermostat. If it still runs hot, find a large drain pan and place under hose on the ground. Wait for the engine to get to ambient air temperature and loosen hose and change the thermostat.
