The filler cap is on the right of the engine, (black) and the dip sick is at the back if the engine, (yellow) or (black) top.

On the dipstick you will see two markings,
one at the top and one at the bottom. the right among is in between the two mark's.

DON'T OVER FILL!!!!!!! or you will damage the oil seal's on the crankshaft.

How to add transmission fluid?

First have the car / truck at operating temperature then ck level within the the range bar on your dip stick, ( looks like a criss cross pattern at the end of dip stick, fluid should be in that range if not add trans fluid as needed maybe 1/2 to 1 qt at a time unless you see no fluid on dip stick add full qt and recheck. My tranny slips some times but it will catch after a few min

SOUND LIKE TRANSMISSION FLUID LOW OR YOU NEED A TRANSMISSION FLUID AND FILTER CHANGE.THE 4T40E OR 4T45E IF YOU DONT SEE TRANSMISSION DIP STICK.BEST TO DO A FILTER AND FLUID CHANGE.YOU NEED 7 QUARTS OF TRANSMISSION FLUID A NEW TRANSMISSION FILTER AND PAN GASKET.I WOULD BUY FILTER AND PAN GASKET AT DEALERSHIP.YOU NEED A LARGE DRAIN PAN TO CATCH TRANSMISSION FLUID.IF YOU HAVE A TRANSMISSION DIP STICK. BEFORE YOU FIRST BEFORE STARTING THE ENGINE CHECK TRANSMISSION FLUID LEVEL ON DIP STICK.SHOULD BE ON THE FULL MARK.IF NOT ADD FLUID TO FULL MARK.THEN CRANK VECHICLE LET IDLE UNTIL ENGINE HOT OPERATION TEMPERATURE ABOUT 10 MINUTES.THEN APPLY BRAKE PEDAL.THEN SLOWLY SHIFT TRANSMISSION SHIFTER THROUGH ALL GEARS 2 TIMES.THEN PUT TRANSMISSION IN PARK.CHECK TRANSMISSION FLUID LEVEL.IF NOT AT FULL MARK ADD TRANSMISSION FLUID UNTIL LEVEL CORRECT.

No drive on a 1999 olds alero

CHECK TRANSMISSION FLUID SOUND LIKE VECHICLE SLIPPING DUE TO LACK OF FLUID. CHECK TRANSMISSION FLUID ON DIP STICK. WHILE ENGINE COLD FLUID LEVEL ON DIP STICK SHOULD FULL MARK.CRANK ENGINE LET VECHICLE IDLE TO WARM.THEN HOLD FOOT ON BRAKE SHIFT THROUGH ALL GEARS FEW TIMES CHECK TRANSMISSION FLUID LEVEL IF LOW ADD FLUID UNTIL YOU GET TO FULL MARK.IF YOU HAVE THE TRANSMISSION WITH NO DIP STICK.YOU NEED TO CHANGE TRANSMISSION FLUID + FILTER. YOU NEED 7 QUARTS OF TRANSMISSION FLUID.BUY DEALERSHIP TRANSMISSION PAN GASKET ITS THICKER MADE DIFFERENT WONT LEAK FLUID. THE TRANSMISSION GASKETS AT AUTO PARTS STORES TOO THIN LEAK FLUID BAD.

Where is the oil filler cap on my 92 xj6-i want to add oil to it but dont know where it is located

There is a red colored cap under the hood accessible from the driver side when the hood is up. It can be very tight especially if the rubber washer under the cap is worn or lost. It is above the dip sticks for the oil and transmission.

Do not have a dip stik on xj6 or tube sealed system. how do you add trans fluid to a seald trans . and how do you now when it is full.

YOU do not add. Take the car to the dealer they will drain the trans and refill it with the correct 16 and 1/2 quarts of ESSO ($42 a quart) trans fluid.
NOTE if you use red trans fluid in this vehicle it will not only void any and all warrartys it will also cause major trans failure.

Error message "low brake pressure"

this is a serious issue so dont drive until it is resolved. If you are lucky, it is merely low brake fluid, an easy fix. just fill to the full level reading the dip stick.

it could also be a more serious problem that could cause total brake failure with no warning.

good luck with it.

Checking trans fluid level 4.7l 2001 laredo

First check your owners manual if you have one if not, then follow this proceedure. With vehicle in park & ignition off, open hood & remove the dip stick from the trans, should be some markings on dip stick that is stamped w/check in park or check in neutral. There will also be some hash marks, cold add/full, hot add/full. If checking cold, fluid levle will should be between the add & full, if checking the fluid level after driving, w/the vechile still running, check the fluid level w/the vechile in park or neutral, depending on what is stamped on the dip stick, check the hot level, should be between add & full. If fluid level at htis point is on add, then add 500 ml of fluid, check level again and add as needed.

Hope this is helpful.

Where is the power steering fluid dip stick on a 1988 XJ-S?

I am not familiar with this car. However, on most cars the power steering level is not determined by using a dipstick. On most cars, you open the power steering fluid reservoir and look at it to determine if the reservoir is full. I hope this helps.
