Check engine light came on and won't go off...

Take the car to an autoparts store and have them scan the computer for any faults stored there. Most parts stores will do the scan for free. The check engine light indicates that the computer has detected a fault in one of the car's systems. Getting the codes will narrow down any problem/potential problem that the computer has identified. If there are no fault codes, they can reset the check engine light so it won't drive you crazy. lol Sure hope this helped and best wishes.
