Problem with start up

I have a 1996 Saturn SL1 and it hesitates upon startup especially first thing in the morning or first startup of the day. Once it starts up it runs fine. I have already replaced the spark plugs and wires but still having trouble.

The fuel pump could be letting gas back into the tank, by way of a bad check ball. The fuel pressure regulator could be bad, or the fuel injectors could be leaking off...I suspect fuel regulator first to be tested...oh, by the way there is no choke adjustment on this vehicle. The computer reads the CTS for enrichment.

Is Supertech 50/50 universal antifreeze okay to use in a 1996 saturn sl1? Also, how do you add antifreeze after the old has been drained?

Yes, that should be fine, especially if you have drained the system. Fill your rad, wait to see if it goes down on it's own then top up. Turn heater on full and start the car with the rad cap off. Keep adding until coolant isn't going down. Once the engine comes up to operating temperature, replace rad cap. Then shut down car and let it cool down. Then once it has cooled down, top up coolant reservoir to full mark.

Make sure rad cap is back on the rad before shutting down the car as it will overflow hot coolant all over if not...

96 Camry LE V6 that hesitates the first thing in the morning,

It sounds like a dead spot in the TPS (throttle position sensor) it is the only sensor that is subject to physical wear (1996 its old replace it) also the 02 sensor is old too.

My 1995 sl1 saturn only has reverse when it is cold. When i start the car in the morning, it has reverse once. It does not have reverse again until it cools down like after a work day or in the morning...

Common problem with these transmissions.Wear in the boost valve assembly in the valve body causes low pressure and no or partial reverse issues.low fluid can also cause this issue.Make sure you check the fluid with the engine idling in park. The valve bodies are repairable with some expensive tools and knowledge.New valve bodies were availiable from saturn but not sure if gm still sevices the parts.Call Transtar @ 800 633 3340 ext 237 Tammy Mcheal and she can sell you a rebuilt valve body and I can walk you through instalation.

1996 sATURN SL1 PO122 CODE

Your code refers to the TPS being out of range-low. The voltage should be from .04 to 4.7 volts with a volts meter connected to the DK BLU wire and the Blk wire at the TPS connector. The key needs to be in run postion with engine off. The throttle being moved slowly while watching the Volts meter to see if there any sudden drops or jumps in the voltage as you move the throttle to wide open. If the voltage is out of range, the TPS will need to be replaced. This could account for your problems that you have been having...make sure the connector isn't bad that is plugged into the TPS. Sometimes these get bad and cause a problem.

My 1996 Saturn SL1 runs very sluggish w/A/C on

idle is too low you see the problem with saturn sl1 is its a single cam engine that puts out only 100hp and when you get into low idling such as 800 rpms where it should be idling at when you hit the a/c the rpms drop a good 150 so turn the idle up more or is it during driving conditions?
