What is the posible of this?

I have a difficult problem about my car Toyota corolla 4E FE.every time I switch the starter it wont continue start,i checked the terminal sachet from distributor without no live out put?what is the possible problem of this?

I had the same issue.
contacts inside the starter are worn out. Try to find replacement contacts $15 and install yourself or replace starter$300

what is the job? what is apart, the whole head?
put back and engine, or the head, or the cams. what?

alldata.com has that, log in and read, then ask questions?
Gen8 car (USA car?) changed mid year.... so..... country matters.
only a DOHC cam engine hint, you dont know what engine is there
and are dismantling it?

Matching the sprokets pionts with the camshaft levels


Timing marks 2000 Toyota corolla (4E-FE/ 4A-FE/ 5A-FE)

Align the crankshaft pulley mark with the 0 mark of timing case.

The camshaft sprocket is at TDC when the hole in the sprocket lines up with the notch in the bearing cap

Set the Crankshaft key in 12 'o Align yellow timing chain mark
Clock position (The key aligns on the crankshaft sprocket
with the mark on the oil pump (see arrow)

Toyota corolla 1993 4e efi 16 valve manual.


4 speeds were very rare in American models. Tercel, corolla's smaller counterpart came in 4speed manuals but that was to suffice the 12valve motor. Call any Toyota dealer, give them the last 8 of vin and they can verify. Happy holidays.

My 92 toyota corolla wont start battery is charged a brand new starter it still wont start,i put the starter on i ran fine but it wont start now please help.


Check power is coming out of your exiter wire ,the little single spade terminal that plugs on to your starter,if not maybe a faulty ignition switch or damaged loom.

2002 Toyota Corolla starter change out


Disconnect the battery.

Remove the lower plastic covers to aid in access.

Remove the battery cable lug from the starter and the signal wire.

Remove the two 14mm bolts holding the starter on and lower out the bottom.

*sometimes it helps the clearance to remove the oil filter.
