Question about 2004 Isuzu Axiom
Only see smoke out tail pipe when i floor it and rpms @ 4500, but it needs a quart every 2 weeks driving modest
If your are reaching 4500 rpm, your'e working it pretty hard.
Have you checked the PCV system(including the air filter)?
Many engines in recent production are using very low viscosity oil and have lower standards for oil control.
Some manufacturers are responding that there are no set specifications for oil consupmtion.
You might try changing the oil and using the highest viscosity your owners manual permits.
Keep check frequently, add oil as needed, it's cheaper than rebuilding.
