One light on my 96 jeep cherokee was on. when i tried to turn it off they all came on. now none of them will go off. hit the locking system and waited, drove it around the block, all still on. help! lisa

The flashing light on your car is telling there is a problem. On some vehicles require a OBD2 code scanner for the diagnosis. Once you know the code, you can most likely repair it yourself. There are fairly easy procedures that most people are capable of repairing.
did you replace the ECu with a used one or new. if it a used one did you match it to the old.why di you change the ECU.? when you turn the key in the start position does the fuel pump turn on? does it crank? do you know if there is spark if you pull one spark plug wire?
are we talking blows a fuse or just turns off... if it just turns off then you might check your wires. you may have put the parking lights on the dash lights and not the parking lights connector....
It is the headlight switch, very common problem on jeeps, my 96 grand cherokee dose the same but most times the lights will flicker. Try spraying a small amount of WD-40 in to the panel dimmer switch and then move it around and kind of jiggle it around.
check for ignition voltage at the purple wire in the starter when you open ignition to the crank position , with a test light,, if the light light on them you need to change the starter..
