Is it blowing a little cold air or none at all? Is your clutch engaging on your compressor for your air conditioning?

First off you 2006 vehicle contains no Freon R12. It contains R134 refrigerant. You have a leak or you would not need to add refrigerant. It is illegal to add refrigerant without repairing the leak. Take it to a trusted A/C specialist and have the leak repaired. They have the proper tools and expertise to add the correct amount and repair the leak.

A/c stopped working on 2005 pontiac grand prix

may be low on 134a freon. The compressor cannot cycle without enough freon in the system. Buy a can at the store and add it to the system. if This does not work, have it serviced by a qualified a/c tech

The AC on my 2007 is not as cold as it needs to

Hi,
It may be low on freon but that is usually installed by a service tech anyway. putting in freon isn't like putting in oil...
Maybe you can find a shop along the way who can check your freon level and put in more if needed.
Hope this helps... Good luck!

A/c not workin up front, works in back

that means you are low on freon. raer uses expansion valve which still works when freon is low.
Front uses fixed orifice tube that needs full system to work. Probably one can low. Use a filler with a gauge so you can monitor pressure. Do not go over 45 psi.
Or, have an a/c shop add the freon with his gauges.

2004 MALIBU MAXX A/C BLOWS HOT AIR

Could be several things. The fuse relay to the AC compressor could be bad. The system may need to be recharged due to lack of refrigerant the compressor will not work unless it has enough.

Where do you add freon in a 1997 chevy malibu. Not familiar with engines at all and don't have many tools. I have bought freon in a can with a little hose but don't know where to add it. Please make your...

The low pressure refrigerant port is near the firewall, just after the receiver/dryer. You'll need a gauge and preferably an ac test manifold. You can use the manifold to add refrigerant up to the point where the system maintains the pressure level in the green area. There should be a blue cap on the low pressure valve.
I believe your malibu take's 12 ounce's of R134, don't over charger the system. You'll blow O rings and worst kill the A/C compressor.
Good luck and hope this helps. Here is a link for A/C recharging. http://www.geocities.com/vantaray/air_conditioning.htm

Ford freestyle air condtioner does blow cold air

I suspect you have a very slow leak in the system. Get a can of freon that has a gauge on it. Connect ot he low side port on the a/c line under the hood and add a can of fren and see if the gauge reads OK. If low add freon. If good, take to dealer or a/c shop.
They can add dye to find leak with a leak detecter.

AC is not blowing cold air. How do I add freon?

What you will be looking for (in your engine compartment) looks almost like a large valve stem that you would see on a tire. It will probably have some kind of plastic cap on it.

It shouldn't be that difficult to find. You may want to search for an engine compartment diagram for your make/model/year vehicle.
