2004 LS 66k miles V6. While driving the wrench light comes on and the car will not accelerate. It runs but even if I floor it the tach does not move and the car does not accelerate. I restart and all is ok. I have changed the throttle body and lincoln garage has checked it and it is ok as is the wiring. My next thought is interference with the fly by wire and coil pack(s). What do you think. It also at times stumbles during acceleration like a freeway ramp. Thanks, Bob

Usually a wrench light indicates the "computer" has decided it's time for something to be serviced. Ford has their own ideas. GM vehicles can usually reset that system by turning the key to ON, and depressing the accelerator to the floor 3 times within 10 seconds. Ford's have a code of their own and it keeps changing. I guess it's an effort for a Dealership to get access to your bank account, and not just your wallet.

I have the same problem. My Lincoln Ls wrench light comes on and it quits. All spark plugs, all coils and the throttle body has been replaced. I think the LS model is a lemon! Any information or suggestions will be appreciated.
