Hi Zandre Are you sure you have put the Clutch centre plate in the correct way round?
Some plates its impossible to fit incorrectly as you would not be able to fit the pressure plate. However some you can fit incorrectly, its been a long time since I have fitted a clutch to a 98 Nissan so I cannot remember if it is possible to make this mistake.
Did you have this issue before fitting the clutch if not then its something you have done.
If you did then I would be looking at possible bent or fractured clutch pedal brackets or linkages. Good luck.
the normal prob is caused by the wiring around rh trunk hinge broken removing supply to release motor. you have a manual key slot in rh of trunk lid think its in either of the trunk badges or the plinth this siezes up because everyone uses the remote or dash switch but when the wiring fails you cant use the key slot try spraying plenty of relase fluid in the slot say wd40 and gently keep trying to free it off that has allways worked for me when you get in remove the plastic rh trunk hinge cover and repair fractured wiring good luck
Remove the inspection plate and undo the bolts attaching the torque converter to the flex plate Remove transmission If you are not familiar with that procedure give the job to a mechanic. Remove the clutch if not auto again know how to replace clutch pressure plate and clutch plate. Something tells me that the flywheel isn't stripped but the flexiplate has fractured as it is unusual for the teeth of the ring gear to be completely stripped. Moving on use an impact gun to undo the bolts holding on the flywheel/flex plate Installation is reverse to removal. But I recommend you have good advice handy to do this job
Disassembly of the column to get to the shift lever connection includes removing the air bag. Because there is a real hazard involved, this is not a job for the DIYer.
Problem solved. a local car repair shop had an old one, we bought it, sawed the back off, got the mirror and back plate out and put it in ours. was easy and cheap.
