SOURCE: replacement of coolant temperature sensor

located under intake in water crossover pipe, you can access the sensor by removing intake chamber box, then pcv hose connected to the block, the connector is orangeish 2pin,use a 19mmdeep socket on a 3/8 ratchet to get it loose, make sure engine is cool, also make sure there is a new brass washer with your new sensor, sometimes the old washer comes off when removing the sensor, sometimes it sticks to the pipe, some coolant will escape so make sure to top it off

SOURCE: where is the coolant temperature sensor

These are located in the cylinder head in the back of the head...meaning 180 degrees from the belts and pulleys(front) or the side the transmission is on. Two sensors exist...the single wire sensor is for the dash gauge. Saturn pn# 21025106 is the one you need

SOURCE: where is the coolant temperature sensor?

I went to an autio parts store and looked in a Hayes repair manual that told me where the temperature sensor is located. It is behind the alternator screwed into the top of the engine block right beside the upper radiator hose.

2014 Buick LaCrosse 3.6. Where is the location of the coolant temperature sensor on it please?

Question edited for clarity.
Question moved to model category.

An answer on Just Answer dot com states

The sensor is located on the left rear of the engine behind the exhaust as seen in the attached file here. The connectors on these sensors are also known to go bad and not make a good connection.

But there is no diagram!

WERE DO I FIND THE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR

Most parts stores have a parts location chart in their computer. If not, coolant temp sensor should be located near the thermostat, screwed into the intake manifold and have two wires. If you find one with 1 wire, that is for the dash cluster not the ECU.
