Cant find Low pressure AC port

I am trying to recharge my system in my 1996 Buick Skylark and I cant locate the low pressure port to apply the refrigerent. I found one port coming from the radiator but My AZ guage doesnt fit on the nipple, the nipple is too large. I would think there is another PORT that I am not seeing. Thanks

Yes I did check the Acumulator. There is no port on it. Well actually there are 2 ports on it that have AC rails in them. No port to apply any refrigerent. Plus the acumulator is behind the passenger side headlight so its not the easiest to get to.

Did you check the acumulator? There is a port on it, that is the low side port. Keep in mind that if you have to recharge the system it is because other parts need service (leak in the syst) and whatever refrigerant you put in it will leak out again. The system may work temporarily or may work inefficiently. Also may sure that there is oil in syst.

What is the location of low pressure port on a 1996 eagle vision tsi?

Usually close to the drier in the tube on the low pressure side. Drier looks like an aluminum cylinder about as big around as a soda can and twice as tall with two aluminum tubes coming out of it. The port has a screw off cap to access.

check the suction line of the compressor for port -check on the back of the compressor. Before recharging check for leaks as it not necessary to recharge a system that has no leaks.

Try recharging your Freon. You can buy a recharge kit at almost any auto part store. Hook it into the low pressure port on the A/C line. On my 3.1L it is best to jack it up and get to in from underneath, metal line in the middle with a blue cap.

Where is the low pressure air conditioning service port on a 1998 Buick Skylark?

Locate your AC compressor.
The low pressure service port is located on the back of the compressor where the high and low side connections bolt to the compressor.
Look on this line about 4 inches or so back on the line.

Hope this helps.. Best of Luck

you dont need to do that, you can charge the system and when it reaches enough pressure it will start to cycle, usually what happens when you jump it is that when you fire it up the system is low and possibly not lubercated properly untill you reach the proper fill amount.many ways to do the same job but Ive done a/c for a longgggg time, hope it helps have a good day DB
