Get someone to follow you and if it has blue smoke or smells like it's burning oil then you need some work like valve oil seals or piston rings.

If it has only got low once, straight after oil change then it's just the amount needed for the oil filter, so top your engine up and check a week or two later.

None of that will make a difference cars burn a small amount of oil no matter what its a way they function if its great loss in a short period of time like a few days or maybe a week then there is an internal leak and you wont be able to see it seals even when new can be damaged in the install phase from the manufacture some times accidents happen even when there made not to be and even if so some time the drain plug can be a small amount tweeked the wronge way and will leak a small amount but will blow off as your driving and you wil never know. was it acurring before or after the oil change because if happend after they are at fault

How to check auto trans oil, 2003 jetta tdi

THE 5 SPEED AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION

At the bottom of the automatic gearbox (tiptronic) you will find one threaded plug on below surface, (follow red arrow in the picture below). This is for emptying.

The oil level threaded plug is placed on the car front lateral automatic gearbox surface, (follow yellow arrow in the picture below).

The filling oil plug is placed on the upper automatic gearbox surface, (follow green arrow in the picture below).

Automatic Transmission Fluid (ATF) checking:
1. Requirements for check:
1.1. Vehicle standing on level surface.
1.2. Transmission must not be in fail-safe mode.
1.3. Shift lever in "P" position, parking brake applied.
1.4. Engine idling.
1.5. Air Conditioner and heater OFF.
1.6. ATF temperature must not exceed 104 Fahrenheit degree (40 Celsius degree) at start of test.
1.7. Automatic gearbox oil capacity: 2,5 liter. Only ATF with VW designation may be used. Do not use any lubricant additives.
1.8. Automatic Transmission Fluid ATF - part number: VW G 052 990 A2
1.9. An ATF level check when transmission oil temperature is too low results in overfilling, when too high results in underfilling.
2. CAUTION: Too much or too little ATF will affect the operation of the transmission. The ATF level must be checked at regular intervals.

Yes, there is a problem with the plastic tube where the oil dip stick goes. It cracks and produces a oil leak that is hard to find when you dont know this. Its cheap and easy to fix.

Hi I have a vw Jetta 3 1994 clx carb model coil pack keep packing up now have conversion of Jetta 2 Modulator but Rev counter is playing up oil buzzer keep sounding. Can all this be caused by the...

Your Jetta 2 modulator is not compatible with the Jetta 3 electronics, especially when it comes to the coil as they give different stokes of spark to the distributor. Oil switch must have a pressure leak. Replace the switch as a small leak of pressure can cause the sensor buzzer to sound. The modulator have no influence on the oil pressure switch.

I have a 2002 VW Jetta TDI and am problems with turbo.

Hallo
1.Disconect lower hose from intercooler and oil (from 0,1 liter or more) (sometimes 1-2 liters) comes out, you should not drive it.(car had probably loose power) Change the turbine, oil and oil filter. do not forget to disconect lower hose and let oil drain out. Otherwise when new turbine is instald, the air flow will **** this oil inside the engine and distroy it.
2.your car is not designed to run without turbine and will not work like normal disel.(SDI).
hope it helps

You may not be full of refrigerant... There is a low pressure switch that prevents the AC from actuating the clutch, and the reason is: IF there is not enough refrigerant, you will not be able to move oil through the system and you will have major damage...so no engauge...

Get the system checked, most likely there is a leak somewhere..

The a/c has a low pressure switch that keeps the compressor off if the refrigerant pressure is low. You need to get the system leak checked and refilled with refrigerant.
