Hi SSheftall,

If you can get them tight enough that the luggage won't move easily, I'd have to say yes.

In the end it's your responsibility and your call. If you, the vehicle operator have any doubt, by all means, secure it further. Be safe.

Why does rear passenger side door of 2000 Toyota Avalon occasionally not lock securely in freezing weather?

The actuator/latch is bad. Basically a spring in it is not tight enough to close it.

Is it better to criss-cross tyres or rotate same side front back when rotating?

There has been a lot of discussion for that over the last 3o or 40 years. Old type "bias" tires were recommended to criss-cross. I personally don't like to change the direction of rotation for radial tires, they wear very quickly for several months if you do that, so I keep them on the same side.

What is bolt torque sequence for a 2005 ford 500 3.0

Tighten them in a criss-cross pattern. First all finger tight, then each one a little at a time, in a criss-cross pattern, first one, then the one opposite, and keep moving around the flywheel like that. By the second round of tightening, you should be at the proper torque value.

Check around the car wreckers that specialise in ford and ford vans for a complete assy. Some wreckers, if they want business, may even fit the door for you at a reasonable price.

I purchased a Hyundai 00285-03006 fully enclosed luggage carrier and the instructions are one picture with no words. The picture does not describe where the carrier is in the picture, where the rails fit...

That same luggage carrier is sold (as OEM approved equipment) for MANY different makes and models of automobiles. From what I can see, it simply clamps onto the cross-rails on your luggage rack. (Not much instruction needed) It does require however, that you have a luggage rack and a cross-rail kit. The cross-rail kit is sold separately. I would give you the part number, but the cross-rail kit varies depending on your make, model, and year.
