Not a guaranteed fix, but sounds like you blew a fuse to the interior of the vehicle. If you didn't disconnect the car battery when attaching the new ignition solonoid, you might have arc'd or shorted out something. I would first check both the engine compartment fuse box and then move to the fuse box within the vehicle and look for something labeled dome light, interior light, radio fuse or to be safe, just check all the fuses by pulling out each one and making sure they are not blown. Good Luck and hope the suggestion helps.
The fuseible link may very well be the problem. You should try replacing any burned connectors, loose or cracked wires. Diagnostics on a vehicle without seeing it is terribly difficult. Your fusible link my be the problem but usually a fuse goes before the link. Do you have any power to the ignition key? or is it just dome lights and radio etc?? If no power to anything including key switch then the fusible link may be your answer because there is no power to the larger fuse boxes which both control everything in your vehicle. Keep me posted and let me know if there is anything else I can attempt to help you with.

I did disconnect the battery none of the fuses are blown But there is a fusible link line that runs from the solenoid to the ignition switch that had melted. The guys that were trying to help me fix my car just but a but connector on that line. If I replace that fusible link line do you think that would fix my problem. I don't know to much about cars cause I am just a female but I am trying to do this on my own.
Dave,
My step Dad will be over here this weekend to fix the fusible link. I will let you know if that is the problem . He should be here Saturday. I will keep you posted. Thanks, Tabetha
